OUR MUSIC PROGRAMS ARE AVAILABLE FOR KIDS AND YOUTH OF ALL AGES AND LEVELS

5th grade students join band at Washington Elementary School. This is an exciting time for students because this is the year they can join band. Band is an extracurricular activity at Washington Elementary School and they do not receive a grade for it. After school band is held once a week on Mondays from 3pm - 4pm starting in October at Washington Elementary School.
6th grade band students comprise the Lincoln Concert Band. This is an exciting time for these band students, as they have made the transition from Washington Band and are now in their 2nd year of instrumental education. Band is a curricular class at Lincoln meaning that students receive a grade for their hard work and attendance. Students rehearse before school from 7:30am - 8:25am on Tuesdays and Fridays at Lincoln Middle School.
7th and 8th grade students are a part of the Symphonic Band. This band has the opportunity to perform at different field trips including Leyden Band Night and 8th Grade All Star Festival. These students are entering their 3rd and 4th year of band and it is an exciting time. Students rehearse before school from 7:30am - 8:25am on Mondays and Thursdays at Lincoln Middle School.
Jazz Band
Jazz band is composed of students from 6th grade to 8th grade. This is an extracurricular activity the students can join. Students perform a wide variety of jazz literature. This is a perfect ensemble for anyone in band but students who play piano, drum set, guitar, and bass are welcome.
Jazz Band rehearses on Wednesday mornings at 7:30am - 8:25am at Lincoln Middle School.
