Mr. Solis

Mr. Luis Solis is the director of bands at Lincoln Middle School. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Elmhurst College in the Spring of 2019. While attending Elmhurst College he was a part of various ensembles including the Symphonic Band, Saxophone Quartet, along with Concert Choir, “Blue” Vocal Jazz Ensemble, and “Late Night Blues” Vocal Jazz Ensemble. He had the opportunity to study with Judith Grimes, the late Ross Kellan, Roger Birkeland, Susan Moninger, Donna Tallman, Jennifer Mather, and Gayle Bisesi. Throughout his collegiate career he was able to work alongside and share the stage with Andrea Bocelli, Janis Siegel from the Manhattan Transfer, Kim Nazarian from the New York Voices, Kerry Marsh, and Julia Dollison. He has also had the opportunity to study piano with Eunjin Lee at DePaul University.
Mr. Solis teaches Beginning Band at Washington Elementary School, and the Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Symphonic Band at Lincoln Middle School. Mr. Solis keeps busy as a performer and performs under the direction of Josephine Lee and the Chicago Children’s Choir. He has had the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall, Symphony Center, Allstate Arena, Millenium Park, and Ravinia Festival.

Ms. Rosenkranz

Ms. Rosenkranz graduated from North Central College in 2019 with a B.A in Music Education. She is also currently working on earning her Master’s in General Music Education along with an Orff endorsement. This will be Kaylie’s second year teaching. Kaylie is from Lockport and loves cooking, cats, and crafts. She can’t wait to meet her students and get started on a great year as a member of District 81.
